Nature photographer, Tampere
An eerie, empty space, with nothing in it but one point of reference.

Teaching and prints
Half of each of my photos is made in Lightroom. I like teaching it to photographers who are still finding their style.
About
I'm Emilia Sipola. I photograph animals and places that have something eerie about them.
My photos have little colour. Often it's dusk or night, the tones are blue or green, and nothing is bright. Sometimes everything is white, as in a snowstorm. What they share is an empty space with one point of reference in it.
I shoot with a Nikon D500 and a manual-focus Nikkor 400 mm f/3.5 that is about 50 years old. The photos in the series are from Helsinki. I now live in Tampere.
